Who doesn’t love the combination of peanut butter and chocolate? I really don’t know anybody.
To avoid generalizations I will speak for myself… I’m crazy about peanut butter and chocolate together. Reese’s and Butterfingers are in my top 5 “favorite junk treats”.
However, nowadays I’m eating as clean as possible and those “favorite junk treats” are in the past and I’m replacing them with cleaner options.
How to use this PB & Chocolate Spread? Of course you can eat it by the spoonful or you can spread it in your favorite bread or cookie for breakfast, but it can also be used to bake other goodies such as cookies and bars.
I really hope you enjoy this spread as much as I do!
Peanut Butter & Chocolate Spread: about 1 cup
Version adapted from Averie Cooks
- ½ cup (140g) homemade peanut butter (I used salted peanuts)
- ½ cup (100g) chocolate chips (remember to be aware of the kind you use for vegan version)
Blend both ingredients in the food processor for about 3 to 4 minutes.
When you finish blending, the spread will be very fluid and shiny because the warm machine will melt the chocolate (like in the picture below), but it will get harder as the chocolate gets colder.
